| How to Spot a Quick Link |
| A Quick Link will look like
just another ordinary web link, until you hover your pointer over
it. Then you will see in your browser's status bar that instead of the link's address starting with "http://www.", it starts with "sig2dat://|file" or "sig2dat:///|File" etc. |

| How to use a Quick Link |
| 1. Click on the Quick Link! You don't need to have any other program running, not even Sig2Dat. Once you do the click, Sig2Dat will briefly open up by itself, create a Start File, and then close itself. 2. - If your FastTrack client is off, start it. The file will be in your download window. - If your FastTrack client is on, turn it completely off (by right-clicking on its icon in the system tray and selecting 'Close' ), and then restart it. (Turning off & restarting client not necessary in recent versions of KaZaA Lite.) Now the file is in your download window. Your client will then begin to look for sources to download the file from, starting at the Sig2Dat-provided default 'dummy@dummy-net'. |
